University of Lethbridge student breakfast campaign deemed a success

LETHBRIDGE, AB – An initiative at the University of Lethbridge (U of L) was a home run!

On Tuesday, November 28, 2023, which happened to be Giving Tuesday, the U of L hosted its ‘Buy a Student a Breakfast’ campaign. The program saw donors donate money to supply breakfast to students during their exam time. A pledge of just $6 secured breakfast for a post-secondary student.

The U of L said that in total, $6,222 was raised. This means, 1,037 breakfasts are now available to students as they start their final exam push at both the Lethbridge and Calgary campuses.

The $6 donations went towards a coupon redeemable for one breakfast sandwich and one coffee or tea at the U of L’s Tim Hortons or Urban Café (Lethbridge campus). Calgary campus students received Tim Hortons gift cards. The vouchers are being distributed this week.
