Lethbridge Speed Skating Association Try it for Ukraine – December 12, 2023

The Lethbridge Speed Skating Association is hosting a Try It Event for Ukrainian families in Southern Alberta. The event is part of the club’s outreach program to get newcomers to Canada involved in the sport. The event will take place on Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:15 at the Labour Club Ice Arena.

Beauty and the Beast – December 12-16, 2023

Cardston High School’s production of Beauty and the Beast kicks off on Tuesday, and runs until Saturday. The shows are at 7:00 p.m. every night, with a 2:00 matinee on Saturday. The show is being held at the Cardston Civic Center, and tickets can be purchased at the door or by calling the school.

Lethbridge Hurricanes vs. Medicine Hat Tigers – December 13, 2023

The Lethbridge Hurricanes host their rival Medicine Hat Tigers on Wednesday. The Hurricanes are coming off a home and home set against Swift Current, where they won one game and lost the other. The game starts at 7:00 p.m.

Nikka Yuko Winter Light Festival – November 30 – February 24

Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden in Lethbridge is hosting its eighth annual Winter Light Festival. This year, the festival will have a ‘Celebration of the Seasons’ theme. The festival’s opening night is Thursdays, and will be open Thursdays through Sundays in November and December.

Glow Lethbridge – November 23 – December 31, 2023

Lethbridge’s holiday light celebration is at the Lethbridge & District Exhibition Agri-food Hub and Trade Centre. Glow Lethbridge features lights in the form of landmarks like the London Bridge, Taj Mahal and Eiffel Tower, as well as a scavenger hunt, music and treats. More information can be found here.

Shakespeare Meets Dickens – December 14, 2023

The Lethbridge Shakespeare Performance Society is hosting their annual “Shakespeare Meets Dickens” event on December 14 at 7:00 p.m. at the Casa Community Room. Audience members are encouraged to wear Tudor or Victorian inspired costumes and join in the singing of Christmas carols. Tickets can be purchased at Casa.
