Alberta NDP to host pension town hall in Lethbridge in January
LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge residents will get a chance to share their thoughts about a provincial pension plan in January.
The Alberta NDP has announced a new set of in-person town halls across the province in early 2024.
In September, the governing UCP released findings from a new report regarding Alberta’s potential exit from the Canada Pension Plan (CPP) in favour of a provincial plan.
The report from LifeWorks suggested that transitioning to a new Alberta Pension Plan could save Albertans billions of dollars.
