City of Lethbridge launches survey on community safety

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The City of Lethbridge and the Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) are seeking input from the community on perceptions of safety.

The Community Safety Survey is part of the work associated with the Building Safer Communities Fund (BSCF), which was secured in July 2023.

The BSCF was made to support municipalities in addressing gun and gang prevalence among youth and young adults.

Officials said the BSCF aligns with the development of the Community Clean and Safe Strategy, which brings the community together to address safety issues and high-priority local risk factors.

The survey is open until January 19, 2024. The results will help build upon existing strategies to further the City’s understanding of community needs and trends.
