Lethbridge Police investigating pedestrian-involved collision

UPDATE – January 10, 2024

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) said it continues to investigate the pedestrian-involved collision that occurred earlier this month.

At around 5:27 p.m. on January 4, officers responded to a pedestrian collision at the intersection of 2 A Avenue North and 10 Street North. The LPS investigation found that a 39-year-old woman was crossing 2 A Avenue North when she was hit by an eastbound-moving Honda Civic.

The victim was taken to a Calgary hospital with life-threatening injuries. On January 10, the LPS stated that the woman was still in hospital in stable, but critical condition.

ORIGINAL STORY – January 5, 2024

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Police in Lethbridge responded to a pedestrian-involved collision Thursday night.

Shortly before 6:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024, the Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) reported the incident in the area of 2 A Avenue and 10 Street North.

The LPS said the victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital by EMS.

Members of the Traffic Response Unit were on scene and blocked a handful of roads. Just after 10 p.m., the area was reopened.

The investigation is ongoing.
