Man charged with attempted vehicle theft east of Lethbridge

LETHBRIDGE COUNTY, AB – The Coaldale RCMP has arrested a person in connection to the alleged attempted theft of a vehicle.

On Tuesday, January 2, 2024, officers were called to a business on Range Road 210 in Lethbridge County just east of Lethbridge.

The RCMP said a suspect had left the area on foot. Thanks to the assistance of a police dog, members found the suspect in the Broxburn industrial park.

Daniel Fraser, 38, of no fixed address, is charged with two counts of failing to comply with a probation order and one count each of theft of a motor vehicle and possession of break-in tools.

According to the RCMP, Fraser was wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant for parole violation.

He remains in custody following a bail hearing and is next scheduled to appear in court on January 8, 2024 in Lethbridge.
