Police seeking witnesses and dash cam footage of north Lethbridge collision

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Police in Lethbridge are investigating a Tuesday morning collision.

The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) said at 8:16 a.m. on January 9, 2024, officers responded to a report of a collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of 13 Street North and 40 Avenue North.

Police said the investigation found that a Chevrolet Silverado traveling southbound on 13 Street North collided with a Honda Civic that was moving eastbound on 40 Avenue North.

According to the LPS, two occupants of the Civic – a 39-year-old man and 43-year-old woman – were taken to hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries.

Police add that the 16-year-old driver of the Silverado attended the hospital on his own.

The investigation by the Serious Collision Investigation Unit is ongoing.

Police ask that anyone who witnessed the crash or who has dash cam footage of the incident contact police at 403-328-4444 and reference file 24000539.
