Lethbridge Police seeking suspect in McDonald’s theft

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) is asking for the public’s help in locating a person accused of committing theft.

At approximately 2:48 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, police say the incident occurred at the McDonald’s restaurant along Mauretania Road West.

A suspect allegedly stole a person’s food and their Nintendo Switch (including a charger and memory card) while the victim stepped away to wash his hands.

Witnesses told police they saw a man take the items and leave the restaurant.

Surveillance footage from the business was provided to LPS.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to call LPS at 403-328-4444 and reference file 24000185. Tips can also by submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, online at P3Tips.com, or by using the “P3 Tips” mobile app.
