Palliser Schools open Monday, but buses not running

COALDALE, AB – Parents and students are advised that all schools within the Palliser School Division will be open on Monday, January 15, 2024.
However, due to the extreme cold weather, buses will not be operational.
According to the Division, it runs five community schools, 17 Hutterian colony schools, 11 faith-based alternative schools, ten of which are in Calgary on nine different campuses, five outreach programs, an online school, and four Low German Mennonite alternative programs.
An extreme cold warning remains in effect for all of Alberta. Although temperatures are expected to moderate somewhat on Monday, wind chill values in the morning could still reach -43 degrees Celsius.
