Winning $70 million LOTTO MAX ticket sold in Alberta

Someone in Alberta is poised to be living in paradise after their LOTTO MAX ticket for Jan. 16, 2024 won $70 million, the Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) shares.

The WCLC says another person who bought their ticket in Calgary also won nearly $285,000 by matching six of seven main draw numbers and the bonus on their LOTTO MAX.

The winning numbers were 2, 9, 10, 14, 42, 43, 44, with 25 drawn as the bonus.

Winners have one year to claim their prize, and should contact Player Care at 1-800-665-3313 and begin their claim process.

In April 2023, there was a $55 million LOTTO MAX win in Lethbridge, followed up by Edmonton wins of $35 million in July and $50 million in September. There was also a $17 million jackpot won in Bonnyville in September, and then another in Edmonton worth $1 million (MaxMillions) in October.
