Lethbridge Police acquire new armoured rescue vehicle
LETHBRIDGE, AB – Members of the Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) will be protected by a new fully bullet proofed vehicle.
LPS Chief Shahin Mehdizadeh unveiled the service’s new armoured rescue vehicle (ARV) on Wednesday, January 24, 2024.
At a price tag of $500,000, the Teradyne truck is expected to serve the community for the next 20 years.
“It was a necessary piece to be able to engage our tactical team in a much safer manner compared to what we had before,” said Mehdizadeh.
