LETHBRIDGE, AB – Here is a preview of some of the events happening in the Lethbridge area this weekend.

Lethbridge Hurricanes vs Regina Pats – January 26, 2024

The Lethbridge Hurricanes return to the ENMAX Centre tonight at 7:00 p.m. as they welcome the Regina Pats on Brent Seabrook Night. The Hurricanes are honouring Seabrook and adding him to their wall of fame. Lethbridge is looking to return to the win column after a 6-0 loss to Brandon on January 20.

Kodiaks volleyball – January 26-27, 2024

The Lethbridge College Kodiaks volleyball teams are in action this weekend, taking on the Olds College Broncos. On Friday, the women’s game starts at 6:00 p.m. while the men get underway at 8. They then play again on Saturday, with the games taking place at 1 p.m. and 3.

Wood’s Homes/Galt Museum Youth Art Showcase – January 27, 2024

Woods Homes is holding a Youth Art Showcase at the Galt Museum on Saturday. Over the last four months, youth aged 13-22 have been creating a piece of artwork utilizing the prompt “what does mental health mean to you?”. On January 27, their work will be displayed for the community at the Galt Museum. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.

Spelling Mini-Bee – January 27, 2024

The Lethbridge Public Library is hosting a spelling bee for students in Grades 1 to 3. The spelling mini-bee will take place in the Theatre Gallery at the Main branch of Lethbridge Public Library. The event is free, all spellers must pre-register at lethlib.ca/children

Animal Tracking – Extreme by Nature – January 27, 2024

An information session and activity at the Helen Schuler Nature Centre on Saturday will teach youths about animal tracking. The free event is for ages 11-15, and runs from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Registration is available here.

Last Chance Cat Ranch Cat Cafe – January 27, 2024

Stop in to the Last Chance Cat Ranch to have coffee, donuts and cuddles with some cute adoptable cats with Last Chance Cat Ranch on Saturday. Entry into the event is a $10 donation to the ranch, and the event runs from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
