LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes have announced a new theme night for this season.

The team is partnering with Lethbridge Fire & Emergency Services for their home game on Friday, February 23, 2024 against the Edmonton Oil Kings.

As part of the night, the Hurricanes will wear custom LFES inspired jerseys which will be auctioned online following the game. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Lethbridge Firefighters Charity Association.

The game will feature themed intermission events with appearances from the LFES Pipe and Drum Band, and Public Safety Communications Specialist Bonnie Charier will sing the national anthem.

In addition, LFES members will be on the concourse during the game to chat with fans about how to become an LFES member, along with fire safety tips. A fire truck will be there for photo opportunities, and the first 1,000 children through the doors will receive a small replica helmet.

Terry Huisman, Hurricanes GeneralManager of Business Operations said, “Last year we had great success with our Lethbridge Police Service game night, and we were able to help raise money and awareness and we are excited to be able to extend that same opportunity and partnership this season with Lethbridge Fire and EMS.”

The game starts at 7:00 p.m.
