‘Legends of Rock and Country’ debuts at New West Theatre

LETHBRIDGE, AB – New West Theatre debuts the final show of their season this week

Legends of Rock and Country comes to the Yates Memorial Theatre beginning on February 15, 2024.

New West Theatre Artistic Director Kelly Reay described the show, saying “Its a really fun concert experience. Its a departure from your typical New West music comedy revue. These artists that we’re tributing, we’ve put a lot of effort into presenting these artists.”

The show highlights over 20 artists who had a large impact on the Rock and Country genres, including Johnny Cash, Fleetwood Mac, Dolly Parton and Tina Turner.

Legends of Rock and Country is the final show of this season for New West Theatre, following Wonderstruck, Honour Beat and Elf: The Musical. Reay said this season has been highly successful for the company.

He explained, “We’re just coming off Elf: The Musical which was our best selling show in the history of the company, so there’s a lot of momentum coming from that and a lot of excitement.”

Reay added, “Ticket sales are really strong, the audience wants to see this work, so we’re feeling good.”

The show runs until February 25. Tickets can be purchased on the ENMAX Centre website, at the ENMAX Centre, or at Yates Memorial Theatre.
