Lethbridge resident killed in Highway 23 collision

CLARESHOLM, AB – The RCMP has confirmed that a Lethbridge resident was killed in a collision on Highway 23 Tuesday night.

On February 20, 2024, at 4:45 p.m., the Claresholm RCMP responded to a report of a fatal motor vehicle crash on Highway 23 and Township Road 130 in Vulcan County.

The incident involved a pickup truck and a semi.

Upon arrival, emergency crews found the driver of the pickup truck deceased. The man has since been identified as a 53-year-old Lethbridge resident.

Police said the sole occupant of the semi sustained minor injuries.

RCMP continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
