Lethbridge Wrestlers excel at Provincial Rural Wrestling Championships

STIRLING, AB – Wrestlers from the Lethbridge school system and surrounding area won all six classification in both the Boys and Girls Rural Wrestling Provincial Championship.

A school qualifies as rural if it is located outside Calgary and/or Edmonton.

Girls Team championship banners:

  • 4A Division – Lethbridge Collegiate Institute
  • 3A Division – St Joseph’s Collegiate (Brooks)
  • 1A/2A Division – Raymond High School

Boys Team championship banners:

  • 4A Division – Lethbridge Collegiate Institute
  • 3A Division – Cardston High School
  • 1A/2A Division – Stirling School

12 Wrestlers from Lethbridge placed in the championship, 11 qualified for the ASAA Provincial Wrestling Championships in Edmonton on March 8-9, 2024, at McNally High School.

The top five wrestlers in each division (Rurals, Calgary and Edmonton) qualify for Provincials.

  • Omni Lowry, LCI – 72kg – Silver
