Milk River Emergency Department to temporarily close
MILK RIVER, AB – Due to a lack of nursing coverage, the Milk River Health Centre Emergency Department will be temporarily closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on March 6, 2024.
Nursing staff will remain on-site during the closure to provide care for long-term care residents.
Patients are asked to call 911 if they have a medical emergency, with EMS calls being re-routed to the Raymond Health Centre or Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge.
Additionally, residents are reminded to call Health Link at 811, which is available 24/7 for non-emergency health-related questions. Those requiring non-emergency medical care are also encouraged to call their family physician.
