LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes continued their win streak on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 with a victory over the Medicine Hat Tigers.

The Hurricanes took control of the game early, with Leo Braillard scoring his 12th goal of the year, assisted by Miguel Marques and Tristen Doyle.

The Hurricanes followed that up with two goals from Logan Wormald just over two minutes apart. The goals were Wormald’s 17th and 18th of the season, while Noah Chadwick assisted on both goals. The third goal chased Tigers’ goalie Jordan Switzer from the net, and he was replaced by Zach Zahara.

After a second period with no goals, despite the Hurricanes outshooting the Tigers 14-8, Dylan Sydor scored his 25th goal of the season at the 10:18 mark of the third period. It was Sydor’s sixth goal since coming to Lethbridge, with Braillard and Pakkala picked up the assists.

Medicine Hat would add their own tally one minute later with Reid Andresen scoring at the 11:18 mark to make it 4-1. That would be the only offense the Tigers put on the scoresheet however, as Lethbridge outshot them 13-4 in the frame. Carter Dereniwsky added an empty netter to finish the game at 5-1.

Wormald was named the first star of the game, while Braillard and Chadwick were the second and third stars, respectively. Harrison Meneghin made 22 saves in the win.

The Hurricanes will take their four-game win streak into a match against the Brandon Wheat Kings on Friday, March 8 at the ENMAX Centre.
