LETHBRIDGE, AB – Alberta Health Services (AHS) has announced it is relocating its public health teams and programs in Lethbridge.

The services, which are currently run out of the Lethbridge Train Station next to Park Place Mall, will be moving to the Melcor Centre in the coming months.

AHS said these programs include “pre- and post-natal supports, immunization, population health program, preschool/school oral health services, public health nursing, sexual reproductive health, environmental public health, comprehensive school health and public health nutrition.”

Staff have been preparing for the move for several months now and will work to notify all affected clients in advance of the change.

An exact opening date has not been set as it will depend on how quickly a series of renovations at the Melcor Centre can be completed.

The Melcor Centre, commonly referred to as “The Bay Mall,” is located at 200 4 Ave South. Anyone with questions about access to public health services and programming can call 403-388-6666.
