LETHBRIDGE, AB – There are plenty of events in Lethbridge this weekend, and Lethbridge News Now has the details.

Big Screen Video Games – March 8, 2024

The main branch of the Lethbridge Public Library is running a video game day at their Theatre Gallery on Friday. From 3:00 p.m. until 5:00, youths from grade 7 to 12 can drop in for games of Super Smash Bros and Mario Kart on the projector screen.

Lethbridge Hurricanes vs. Brandon Wheat Kings – March 8, 2024

The Lethbridge Hurricanes take a four-game winning streak into their Friday night matchup against the Brandon Wheat Kings. The game comes as one of the final four home games for the Hurricanes in the 2023-24 regular season. The game starts at 7:00 p.m., and tickets can be found at the ENMAX Centre website.

YWCA Women of Distinction Awards – March 8, 2024

YWCA Women of Distinction awards recognize women who have made exemplary achievements in their fields. There are eight awards categories this year, and the champagne reception kicks off the night at 5:30, and the full schedule can be found here.

The Wizard of Oz – March 8 and 9, 2024

Catholic Central High School is running its production of The Wizard of Oz on the weekend. The timeless tale will be running at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, and will have a matinee show at 1:30 on Saturday. Tickets can be purchased here.

Wildlife Festival – March 8-10, 2024

The Lethbridge and District Exhibition Agri-Food Hub & Trade Centre is hosting the Wildlife Festival this weekend. From Friday until Sunday, visitors can see wild animals from across the world brought to Lethbridge. The event also features stage shows and educational displays.
