Clocks move ahead one hour Sunday morning

Daylight savings time is set to begin this weekend.

At 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2024, the clocks will move ahead by one hour.

While devices such as smartphones and computers will likely update on their own, many appliances will need to be adjusted manually.

While you are doing that, fire departments across the country advise that you check the batteries on your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.

The batteries in smoke alarms should be changed every six months, while officials recommend doing that at least one time every year for carbon monoxide alarms. The devices should be replaced every 10 years.
