
Rent in Lethbridge remains among most affordable in Canadian cities
LETHBRIDGE, AB – A new report highlights how expensive it is to rent an apartment in Canadian cities, but that one southern Alberta community remains near the bottom of the list.
Rentals.ca and Urbanation have released the National Rent Report for March 2024.
It states that, nationally, one bedroom apartments rented for an average of $1,944 per month while those with two bedrooms went for $2,330 per month. Those prices rose by 13.33 per cent and 12.31 per cent respectively over the last year.
In Alberta, the averages were $1,531 monthly for a single bedroom (up 20 per cent annually) and $1,886 for two rooms (up 19 per cent annually).
