LETHBRIDGE, AB – Three people have been charged in connection to a robbery and assault in Lethbridge.

In the early morning hours of March 9, 2024, the Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) responded to a report that a male had suffered significant injuries following a home invasion style robbery.

Police say the 67-year-old victim had conversed with a female online and an agreement was made for her to meet with him at his home. When the victim answered the door to let her in, she, along with two males, allegedly broke into the house and assaulted the victim.

One of the male subjects was armed with a firearm and the other a knife. Police say the subjects stole property from the victim, including his wallet and cell phone, struck him in the face with the firearm and cut him with the knife before leaving the area in an SUV.

Police were able to identify a suspect after the victim’s banking cards were used at local convenience stores. They were able to identify him based on surveillance footage, and were later able to identify the female and other male subject.

The female suspect was arrested on March 11, while the two male suspects were arrested the following day. Police say one of the males was in possession of some of the stolen property.

Police also executed a search warrant on a property along the 1000 block of 27 A Street North and a vehicle on March 12, and say they located clothing worn by the subjects and property belonging to the victim. Another woman was arrested at the residence for an unrelated matter.
