LETHBRIDGE, AB – Despite a downpouring of snow, there are still a bunch of events this weekend, and Lethbridge News Now has the details.

Lethbridge Hurricanes vs. Medicine Hat Tigers – March 22, 2024

The Lethbridge Hurricanes host the Medicine Hat Tigers on Friday night in the final regular season home game of the 2023-24 season. The Hurricanes have clinched a playoff spot, and their games this weekend will determine their seeding and who they face in the first round. Puck drop is at 7:00 p.m.

My Testimonial – March 22, 2024

A special performance of “My Testimonial,” a play written and created by Greg MacArthur, is happening on Friday night at the Southern Alberta Art Gallery. This event is free for Gallery members, and for non-members, regular admission applies.

Rock n’ Gem Show – March 21-24, 2024

Canada’s biggest Gem and Mineral Show is coming to Lethbridge from March 21-24. Rock n’ Gem show will have thousands of crystals, gemstones, jewelry, beads, and fossils, and is being held at the Agri-Food Hub & Trade Centre from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and from 10 until 5 on Sunday.

Reconciliation Expo – March 23, 2024

The Agri-Food Hub & Trade Centre is holding the Reconciliation Expo on Saturday. The expo runs from 11 p.m. to 4 p.m., and features Tipi raising, drumming, Blackfoot-led yoga, and other activities. More information can be found here.

Articulations with Erin Sutherland and Tiffany Shaw – March 23, 2024

Join curator and academic Erin Sutherland and artist/architect Tiffany Shaw on Zoom to discuss decolonial strategies in art, architecture, and curation. The meeting takes place from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, and is free to attend. Those interested just need to register, and information on registration can be found here.

HALO Air Ambulance Fundraiser – March 23, 2024

A fundraiser for HALO Air Ambulance, Flight up the Night, will take place on Saturday at 5 p.m. at the Countryside Barn in Lethbridge County. The evening will feature a dinner and performance from The Prairie Dogz. For more, visit the HALO Air Ambulance website.
