Lethbridge Police charge man in assault investigation

LETHBRIDGE, AB – An 18-year-old man is facing charges in connection to a stabbing incident.

On March 24, 2024 at approximately 1 a.m., police responded to a motel along the 2200 block of 7 Avenue South after a report of an injured male in the lobby.

When they arrived on scene, LPS found a 21-year-old male with non-life-threatening injuries, and he was transported to hospital by EMS. Police arrested he suspect on the scene, and seized a knife.

After an investigation, police say the parties involved are known to one another and had been socializing with several other people when a dispute occurred, resulting in the victim being stabbed.

Robert Junior Rabbit of Lethbridge has been charged with aggravated assault and possession of an offensive weapon. He was remanded into custody, and will appear in court on March 25, 2024.
