Survey launched to gauge Lethbridge’s score as a tourism destination

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Tourism Lethbridge is asking for the community’s help to assess the city as a prime tourism destination.

The organization has contracted MMGY NextFactor and Destinations International to use their diagnostic tool ‘DestinationNEXT’, which is used by over 375 destinations around the world.

The assessment is a benchmark survey of key stakeholders in tourism, business, education and government who are impacted by Lethbridge’s ability to attract visitors to the community.

The survey results will be used as a ‘report card’ for the standard of the destination. The questionnaire addresses a wide range of topics and is available online.

The deadline to fill out the survey is May 13, 2024.

Tourism Lethbridge will host a tourism town hall on April 23. The organization will share information on its 10-year tourism strategy and how residents play a role in growing the visitor economy in Alberta.

The survey findings are set to be presented at a workshop in the fall.
