Apr 9, 2024 | 9:44 AM

CROWSNEST PASS, AB – Residents of Crowsnest Pass are being asked for their assistance in an investigation.

The Municipality of Crowsnest Pass says its peace officers have received multiple complaints regarding grease being illegally disposed of since January 15, 2024.

Callers have reported plastic bags containing a “grease like substance” along Highway 3 in Coleman.

“The illegal dumping has occurred regularly since that time and it appears to be dumped during the evening hours. This is unsightly in our beautiful community and also is causing issues with wildlife who are trying to get into the bags,” reads a social media post from the municipality.

Anyone who has information regarding illegal dumping or littering is asked to phone the municipal office at 403-562-8833 and quote Peace Officer Case No. CR2024-0036.
