UPDATE: Lethbridge Police arrest man deemed as prolific offender

UPDATE – April 16, 2024: The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) has confirmed that 36-year-old Tyler Aubrey Johnson has been arrested.

Police thank the community for its assistance.

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) is asking for help.

The LPS is seeking assistance to find 36-year-old Tyler Aubrey Johnson.

Police say he has been identified by CompStat as a prolific offender. He is wanted on warrants for drug possession, possession of crime and breaching release orders.

CompStat is a data-driven model where analytics are used to identify prolific offenders, areas with high-crime and the most effective use of police resources.

Each month, the LPS identifies the top five most prolific offenders. Officers are then assigned to conduct and enforce release conditions or find and apprehend those with outstanding warrants. Photos of these individuals are released to the public in order to help find them.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Tyler Johnson is asked to call the LPS at 403-328-4444 and reference file 23016202. Anonymous tips can be submitted to CrimeStoppers online or by calling 1-800-222-8477.
