LETHBRIDGE, AB – There are plenty of events in Lethbridge this weekend, and Lethbridge News Now has all the details.

Kids in the Kitchen – April 12, 2024

The Family Centre North in Lethbridge is hosting a cooking class for youths. Kids aged 7 to 9 can come for the free class from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Friday to learn to cook in a safe environment. More information can be found here.

A Celebration of Anime Music – April 12, 2024

The Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden is hosting a night to celebrate the music of anime. The show features three local artists, and runs from 7 p.m. until 8:30. A $20 ticket includes admission to show inside the Bunka Centre, one bag of Movie Mill popcorn, a bottle of Ramune (Japanese soda), and a courtesy pass for admission to the garden.

STARS Fundraising Volleyball Tournament – April 12-14, 2024

The Fort Macleod Volleyball Club hosts its STARS Mixed Volleyball Tournament Friday through Sunday. This year marks the 20th iteration of the tournament, raising funds for STARS air ambulance.

Lethbridge Handmade Market – April 13, 2024

The Lethbridge Handmade Market runs all day on Saturday at the Agri-Food Hub & Trade Centre. The event is a showcase of products created by over 120 local artists, as well as food trucks, a photo booth, and live music.

SAAG Cinema: Showing Up – April 13, 2024

SAAG is hosting a showing of the movie Showing Up on Saturday. The film follows a sculptor managing the competing attentions of her art, job, family, and friendships. The screening is free for gallery members, and refreshments will be available.

Spring Artisan and Gift Expo – April 13, 2024

Domesticated Divas Events is hosting the Spring Artisan and Gift Expo on April 13 from 10 a.m, until 4 p.m. The event takes place at the Multicultural Centre, and features local vendors and small businesses.
