Lethbridge mayor issues statement on federal budget

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Reactions are starting to come in on the latest federal budget.

Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland presented the budget on Tuesday.

The mayor of Lethbridge, Blaine Hyggen, has issued a brief initial response, saying “It will take some time to review the entire scope of the 2024 Federal Budget, including discussions with our City Treasurer, to see the full impacts.”

“As always, city council will continue to advocate for the supports we need in our city to best serve our residents,” he adds.

“We look forward to working with the federal government in the coming weeks and months to learn more about what this budget means specifically for Lethbridge.”
