One killed in collision near Coaldale

COALDALE, AB – The RCMP has confirmed that a multi-vehicle collision resulted in the death of one person.

In the morning of Wednesday, April 17, 2024, officers were called to Nolan’s Bridge on Highway 845 south of Highway 519, approximately 14 kilometres north of Coaldale.

Three vehicles had collided on the bridge.

A 61-year-old woman from Foothills County died on scene.

The road was closed for several hours while members conducted an investigation. A spokesperson with the RCMP told LNN that weather conditions played a factor.
