Lethbridge County issues fire advisory

LETHBRIDGE COUNTY, AB – Residents of Lethbridge County should be aware of changing burning regulations.

The County has issued a fire advisory as of Monday, April 22, 2024.

“The risk for wildfire is increased due to the warm, windy conditions we have been experiencing,” the County said in a social media post.

Burning permits that are already active and approved are not cancelled during the fire advisory, but the public is asked to use extra caution when burning.

When wind speeds are greater than 25 kilometres per hour, no burning can take place.
