D12 & Obie Trice at Club Lime – April 26, 2024

Hip-hop group D12 and rapper Obbie Trice will be at Club Lime on Friday night, along with Robbie G. The concert starts at 8 p.m., and tickets are available online.

Jane’s Walk Festival – April 27, 2024

The City of Lethbridge is inviting residents to join the annual Jane’s Walk festival on Saturday.

It is a global pedestrian-powered movement of neighbour-led walking tours inspired by urbanist Jane Jacobs. The event is free, with Saturday focused on exploring the city’s cycling infrastructure in the downtown area. Attendees are asked to meet for 10:30 a.m. at Galt Gardens.

Additional Jane’s Walk festival events will happen on May 3, 4 and 5.

Indigenous Public Art Reveal – April 27, 2024

The Main Branch of the Lethbridge Public Library has two new public art installations: Awaaniiyaawa (They Are Speaking) by Faye HeavyShield and Niitoyis itsinika’si (Lodge Stories and History) by Api’soomaahka/William Singer III.

Both artists will speak about their pieces at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the downtown library.

Blessing of the Bikes – April 27, 2024

Southern Alberta Bikers will start a new tradition on Saturday, with the inaugural Blessing of the Bikes. It will welcome all motorcycle enthusiasts to mark the start of the riding season.

The non-denominational ceremony will see riders receiving a blessing for safety and wellbeing for the riding season. The event will start at 11 a.m. at the Evangelical Free Church of Lethbridge, located at 4717 24 Avenue South.

Lethbridge Symphony Fundraiser – April 27, 2024

The Lethbridge Symphony hosts Symphony Soirée – “Springtime in Paris” at the Sandman Signature Lethbridge Lodge on Saturday. The event will start with a champagne welcome at 6 p.m. and feature a five-course dinner, as well as an auction at the end of the night.

Symphony Soirée was formerly known as Love Notes and is the Lethbridge Symphony’s annual gala fundraiser. More information is at the Lethbridge Symphony website.

Canadian Independent Bookstore Day – April 27, 2024

A book crawl will take place to celebrate Canadian Independent Bookstore Day on Saturday. Analog Books, Echo Used Books and Big John’s Books will participate in Lethbridge.

The event is on from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Another Sunday Punk Rock Matinee – April 28, 2024

The Slice Bar & Grill hosts live music Sunday afternoon. You can see the likes of The Bonspiels, Smelters and Jon Creeden.

Doors open at 1:30 p.m., with performances starting at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 at the door.
