Crews respond to Highway 22 collision

CLARESHOLM, AB – The RCMP has confirmed that two people were killed in a collision Tuesday night on Highway 22.

The Claresholm and Nanton RCMP detachments and other emergency crews are responding to the area roughly five kilometres north of Highway 520, in the Municipal District of Ranchland.

Police say Highway 22 is impassable going both north and south.

Motorists are asked to seek an alternate route. The RCMP says the route will be blocked off until further notice. Police did not say how many vehicles or individuals were involved.
