LETHBRIDGE, AB – Efforts continue to spruce up a street in south Lethbridge.

The City is working to revitalize 11 Street South between 3 Avenue and 4 Avenue, with the vision being to create a vibrant and sustainable green corridor.

The revitalized block would connect the Warehouse District and downtown.

Officials say the design plans focus on pedestrian and multiple modes of transportation. Plans also aim to support businesses and support ideas for future commercial frontage activation.

The City says planned green infrastructure “would help manage stormwater runoff and improve environmental sustainability”.

The first phase of engagement identified ideas around parking, safety and improving the area.

The second phase will gather feedback on one-way and two-way development options. Residents can share their thoughts via an online survey until May 9, 2024.

By the end of the summer, the project team plans to finish the final concept drawings.
