LETHBRIDGE, AB – There are plenty of events in Lethbridge and southern Alberta this weekend, and Lethbridge News Now has the details.

The Mousetrap – May 3-4, 2024

The Claresholm Arts Society is hosting its second stage play on Friday and Saturday. The night starts with a prime rib dinner, and then is followed by a performance of Agatha Christie’s show The Mousetrap. Doors open at 5:30, and the show begins at 7.

Spring Pottery Sale – May 3 & 4, 2024

The Oldman River Potters Guild holds its annual spring sale. You can pick up pottery from over 20 potters as well as plants and pots. On Friday, the event is on from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 4416 1 Avenue South in Lethbridge. More details are available at the guild website.

Geek Fest – May 4, 2024

Explore businesses that embrace geek, pop culture, anime, sci-fi, comics superheroes, table top gaming and more at the Agri-Food Hub & Trade Centre on Saturday. The show runs from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Cinco de Mayo – Taco Festival – May 4, 2024

A Taco festival to celebrate Cinco de Mayo is happening on Saturday in Festival Square. The event is free to attend, and features multiple activities like a beer garden, kids pinatas and hot sauce challenges. Information can be found here.

Star Wars Day – May 4, 2024

The Lethbridge Public Library is Celebrating May the 4th with Star Wars Day events. The day of activities will run from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Crossings Branch.

Motorcycle Awareness and Teddy Bear Parade – May 4, 2024

The Southern Alberta Bikers host the annual Motorcycle Awareness and Teddy Bear Parade in Lethbridge on Saturday. It starts with an early bird breakfast at Honkers Pub & Eatery from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., followed by the Teddy Bear Parade at 10 a.m. and the Poker Run. The day will be capped off with a wrap-up dinner back at Honkers.

Creedence Clearwater Remembered – May 4, 2024

A tribute to one of the biggest bands of the 1970’s is happening at the ENMAX Centre on Saturday night. Creedence Clearwater Remembered: A True Rock and Roll Story features the powerhouse vocals of acclaimed singer El Niven, and a band of musicians with multiple CCMA awards between them. The show begins at 7:00 p.m.

Superhero Walk – May 4, 2024

The Chinook Autism Society invites the community to participate in the Superhero Walk for Autism Awareness. The event is at Henderson Lake Park Saturday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., with a free barbecue to follow the fundraising and awareness walk.

Jane’s Walk – May 4, 2024

Jane’s Walk is an annual festival of free, community-led walking conversations inspired by Jane Jacobs. It is described as “a free walk exploring the history and stories that shape our everyday urban experience.” It takes place on Saturday and Sunday, with a list of times found here.

Spring Wine Fest – May 5, 2024

Steel and Vines is hosting the Spring Wine Fest again this weekend. Visitors can go from vendor to vendor trying out wines at their own self-directed pace on Sunday. Tickets can be purchased here.
