77-year-old man robbed in Lethbridge, police seeking witnesses

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) is asking for anyone who can help them with a robbery investigation to come forward.

At approximately 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2024, officers were informed that a 77-year-old man was robbed while walking along Grizzly Road North toward 28 Street North.

“The senior was approached by an unknown male and female, who forcefully grabbed him and stole a valuable chain necklace he had been wearing, before fleeing the area in a white, four-door sedan,” reads a media release from LPS.

The first suspect is described as an East Asian man, approximately 35-40 years old.

The second suspect is described as an East Asian woman, approximately 35-40 years old, and wearing a blue head wrapping.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information is asked to call LPS at 403-328-4444 and reference file 24007597.
