The Communauté Congolaise du Canada, in partnership with The Association Congolaise Canadienne de Lethbridge, is hosting the Congo Culture Showcase on Saturday at the Multicultural Centre. The free event has live music, traditional dances, and food. Information can be found here.

Art’s Alive and Well in the Schools opening – May 11, 2024

There is a showcase at the Southern Alberta Art Gallery on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. to celebrate the opening of Art’s Alive and Well in the Schools, the new exhibit at SAAG. The intallation was created by students from kindergarten to grade 12.

Lethbridge Highland Dance Association Competition – May 11, 2024

The Lethbridge Highland Dance Association hosts its 42nd annual Highland Dance Competition on Saturday. There will be over 100 dancers from Alberta and B.C. participating in the event. The competition starts at 8:30 a.m. and takes place at Winston Churchill High School.

Eagle Spirit Powwow – May 11-12, 2024

The first-ever Eagle Spirit Powwow is happening in Taber on May 11th & 12th and is being planned by the Eagle Spirit Nest Community Association. The Grand Entries are at 1:00 PM in the Taber Ice Arena on both days. A full list of activities and more information can be found here.

Mothers Day Artisan & Gift Expo – May 11-12, 2024

The Mothers Day Artisan & Gift Expo is being held at the Lethbridge Curling Club. The event has plenty of local vendors attendees can visit to pick up a Mother’s Day gift. Tickets can be purchased here.
