Two from Lethbridge killed in collision near Granum

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The RCMP is investigating a fatal collision from this past weekend.

At around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 12, 2024, officers were called to a collision on Highway 519 and Range Road 255, approximately 10 kilometres east of Granum.

The RCMP says three vehicles were involved – an eastbound Honda Civic, an eastbound black Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck pulling a U-Haul trailer, and a westbound red Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck.

Both occupants in the Honda Civic, a 31-year-old woman who was driving and a 35-year-old male passenger, both from Lethbridge, were found deceased.

The driver of the red Dodge Ram suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital in Calgary.

The two people in the black Dodge Ram were uninjured.

There is no word on the cause of the collision nor if the RCMP are considering charges at this time.
