Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued for southern Alberta

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for parts of Southern Alberta, beginning on May 16, 2024.
Environment Canada says conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and large hail.
The storms are expected to begin early in the afternoon, producing “severe weather”, and continue into the evening.
Affected areas include the Lethbridge area, as well as Brooks and Medicine Hat.
