UPDATE: One man in custody following “high-risk incident” in south Lethbridge

UPDATE – 3:40 p.m.

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Police have confirmed that one man is in custody.

The LPS notes the man had barricaded himself in a southside home. Officials say he surrendered to police without incident. He was arrested on outstanding warrants.

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Police are on scene at a high-risk incident in south Lethbridge.

At 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, the Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) issued a notice that officers were responding to a high-risk incident at a home on the 3000 block of 20 Avenue South.

The public is asked to avoid the area.
