Hurricanes announce changes to scouting staff
LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes have named their new head scout.
Garry Carson will take over the role ahead of the 2024-25 season, replacing Rob MacLachlan, who retired from the role following the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft.
Carson has spent the last six seasons as a regional scout for the Hurricanes after spending the six before that in the same role with the Medicine Hat Tigers. Carson also spent time as Director of Scouting and Director of Player Personnel for the Yorkton Terriers of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, who won the Junior-A national championship in 2014.
Hurricanes General Manager Peter Anholt said, “Garry has been around for a long time having joined our organization six years ago and his time with the Tigers. With his experience, it will make our organization even stronger, and I know we will continue to add good players to our team.”
