Coaldale announces soft opening for new rec centre

COALDALE, AB – The Town of Coaldale is holding a soft opening for the new Shift Community Recreation Centre.
The soft opening will take place on Monday, June 17, 2024 and members of the public will have the opportunity to explore the building and test out the facilities including the gym, track, indoor playground, and field house.
Drop-in rates at the new centre will be $6 for adults, $5 for seniors(65+) and youth (8-17), $3 for children, and $12 for families.
Russ Tanner, Director of Community Services for the Town of Coaldale said, “Originally, the plan was to soft open on June 3, but due to delays in construction we’ve had to push that back by two weeks. Thankfully, construction is nearing completion, so we’re happy to announce that as of Monday June 17th, the facility will be open to the public.”
