Name unveiled for new west Lethbridge school

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The new elementary school in west Lethbridge has been named.
The Lethbridge School Division received over 30 name submissions from members of the public, and a committee of staff, students, parents and more provided recommendations to the Board of Trustees.
The division has selected the name “West Coulee Station Elementary School”, referencing the rolling coulees in the city.
Officials say, “The name, carefully crafted and steeped in significance, pays respect to the natural beauty of our surroundings – the iconic coulees and the railway woven into the fabric of the community’s identity.”
