LETHBRIDGE, AB – There are some fun events in the Lethbridge area this weekend, and Lethbridge News Now has the details.

Foodie Weekend: May 31-June 1, 2024

Lethbridge’s Foodie Fest continues this weekend with events Friday and Saturday. Friday night will have a night market from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Festival Square. On Saturday, There will be a history and beer tour, and the foodie paint night at Round Table Board Gamerie.

Austin Lonneberg – May 31-June 1, 2024

Calgary-born stand up comedian Austin Lonneberg performs Friday and Saturday at Good Times Comedy Club. The shows both begin at 8:00, and doors open at 7:30. Tickets can be purchased here.

Ahead of the Herd 2024 – June 1, 2024

The University of Lethbridge is readying for its next generation of students with the annual Ahead of the Herd event. Ahead of the Herd is an opportunity for incoming students to meet faculty, staff and current students who have experienced the same excitement and nervousness of starting a post-secondary journey. Students and their families get an opportunity to hear from those on campus about all the great opportunities and resources available to them as they begin post-secondary life. The event runs from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Big Truck Petting Zoo – June 1, 2024

Big Truck Petting Zoo returns for another year on Saturday. Excavators, fire trucks, police cars, waste collection trucks, the Bookmobile, buses and more will be available for residents of all ages to explore. This family-friendly, free event offers some great giveaways, conversation and connection to the people who work hard to serve the community. It takes place at the Lethbridge Public Library’s Crossings Branch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Broken Butterflies – June 1, 2024

Streets Alive Mission asks women from across Southern Alberta to join the Broken Butterflies Afternoon Tea Party on Saturday from 2 until 4. Streets alive calls it a joyful and elegant way for women to help women through Streets Alive Mission’s Genesis Women’s Life Recovery Program. Tickets can be purchased here.

Windy City Bridal Show – June 1, 2024

The Windy City Bridal show is being held at the Windy Rafters Barn in Fort MacLeod. The event is an opportunity for soon-to-be brides and their parties to check out local vendors, as well as earn prizes. The show runs from 10 a.m. until 4:30. Registration can be found here.

Gutsy Walk – June 2, 2024

The Lethbridge Crohn’s and Colitis Chapter is hosting the annual Gutsy Walk at the Henderson Lake Kiwanis shelter on Sunday.The walk aims to raise awareness of the diseases. Registration will start at 9:30 a.m.
