Hurricanes to face Oil Kings in 2024-25 home opener

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes and Western Hockey League have unveiled the team’s 2024-25 home opener.

The Hurricanes will open the regular season on Friday, September 20 against the Edmonton Oil Kings at the ENMAX Centre. The game will be the first of the season for the Hurricanes, and first of eight games against the Oil Kings all season.

This season marks just the second time the Hurricanes have opened their season at home against their division opponent, with the first being in 2021 where the Oil Kings came away with a 7-2 victory.

Last season, the Hurricanes played six games against the Oil Kings, with each team winning three.

The team’s full schedule will be released at a later date.
