Mary Tilleman named new principal of St. Patrick School in Taber

TABER, AB – St. Patrick School in Taber has a new principal.

On Wednesday, June 12, 2024, the Holy Spirit Catholic School Division announced that Mary Tilleman will become the school’s new principal.

Tilleman attained her joint Bachelor’s Degrees in Arts and Education from the University of Lethbridge in 2015, and received her masters degree this year.

She started her education career at Wilson Middle School in Lethbridge as an Educational Assistant. She began at St. Patrick School in 2016 as a Grade 1/2 teacher, and took over the role of vice principal in 2022.

Tilleman said, “I am honoured and excited to accept the position of Principal at St. Patrick School. Having served as the Associate Principal for the past three years, and previously teaching Grade 1 at this wonderful school, I have developed a deep connection with our school community. St. Patrick School holds a special place in my heart, and I am thrilled for the opportunity to serve and lead this community in my new role.”
