COALHURST, AB – Property owners in Coalhurst will be getting their assessment and tax notices soon.

The Town says they were sent out on June 10, 2024.

Taxes are due by July 31, with property owners able to make payments at the Town Office or through their financial institution in-person or online.

Officials advise that if a property owner is paying through their bank, they must use the Town of Coalhurst Taxes payee and use their roll number as the account number.

The Town does not accept credit card payments at its office, however, there are options online that charge a nominal fee.

Additionally, individuals that participate in the Monthly Autopay program will see their payment amount updated on the July 15 payment. As part of the program, the payment deadline does not apply to participants and they will continue to make a monthly payment.

The Town says if anyone wants to appeal their assessment, they can contact Benchmark Assessment Consultants at 403-381-0535. Other inquiries can be directed to the Town by email at taxes@coalhurst.ca or by phone at 403-381-3033.
