Lethbridge Police investigating fatal pedestrian collision

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) is investigating a pedestrian collision that killed a 35-year-old woman.

On Wednesday, June 12, 2024, LPS responded to a report of a pedestrian collision along the 1400 block of Mayor Magrath Drive South at around 10:50 p.m.

A subsequent investigation found that the pedestrian was walking southwest across Mayor Magrath Drive without the right of way when she was hit by a car.

She was taken to hospital in critical condition, and was later airlifted via STARS to Calgary, where she later died.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
