Taber men charged for allegedly supplying drugs to Drumheller Institution

DRUMHELLER, AB – The RCMP has apprehended two people who are accused of supplying illicit drugs to prison inmates.

Officers say they were contacted by the Drumheller Correctional Institution on Monday, June 10, 2024.

The investigation determined that two suspects had reportedly tossed packages of contraband over a security fence. The packages were recovered and allegedly contained cocaine and methamphetamine.

A black Volkswagen Golf was located nearby and was seized.

Pancho Teichroeb, 25, and Nolin Berehula, 22, both from Taber, were arrested. The pair are each charged with two counts of trafficking a controlled substance and one count of mischief.

The suspects were released on $3,500 bonds and are subject to conditions. They are scheduled to appear in court on July 12.
